Check it out, I’m sitting on my deck in January wearing sequins and sitting in one of my new dining room chairs.
OK, so the getup is for the discomania virtual blogger party that Holly Becker of Decor8 is throwing. But the chairs? Those are for your virtual enjoyment, baby!
Though maybe not for my dinner party guests’ actual comfort.
Yeah, not the most comfortable thing. Not that it bothers me. Or the majority of guests we had over for New Year’s (though lying to the hosts under the influence of champagne and cake batter martinis is pretty much required).
I don’t like the idea of cushions, but maybe something like this could work?
And if it doesn’t work out (i.e., I can’t convince my husband to keep them), at least they were only $25 each from Overstock on Black Friday.
That’s $25 less than the price of one Tolix chair (dream chair, sigh).
But check out the before and after (ignoring the hideous blinds, of course):
What do you think?

I love them. I want them. They’re adorable. You’re adorable. Please tell me if they’re comfortable. I might need them.
Ah, thanks! They are not especially comfortable, but I kind of like my chairs and mattresses on the hard side. I’ll let you know how they are once we get some padding (though that pains me – isn’t the point of metal chairs that they are EASY to clean?).
I love your pic! Too cute! The chairs look really good with the table. They make the space more modern. I attest to that fact that the lambskins make any chair more comfortable.
Oh, good. I need to see how much they are at IKEA (not that there’s one around here, but…). Since eight of them could be a splurge.
First off, love the Hunter boots with the dress! The chairs have given your dining room a great transformation. I like the idea of the through for comfort as an alternative to cushions.
Aren’t the boots great? Sadly I never wear them, but maybe I just need some skinny jeans or something. But that brings about other issues.
The chairs look great in your space!
Your outfit is so cute, especially with the hat and the Hunter boots. Now I want some Hunter boots as well…
Glad everyone likes the chairs! The boots are cool, but I haven’t quite figured out how to wear them. Had them on for casual Friday once (it was rainy) and general reaction was a shocked, “whoa, those are some serious boots!” Haters. Maybe I need to wear this outfit to the office, ha ha!
Can’t see what your problem is Heather, you look good with your wellies on, I wear my wellies a lot, for work, shopping and even nights out with the Girls, they are shiny black and so comfortable.
